A Little Food-Court Joy, Halloween 2021
On Halloween 2021, I worked my whole shift dressed as a hot dog, with my store's blessing. I wanted to give members and coworkers something to smile about. Later that day my wife, Bell de Leon, joined me as the perfect sidekick, a soda can, and we spread the fun around Oxnard, California.
What I loved most was seeing how something as simple as a hot dog and a soda can bring back good memories and make people's day. I designed our matching name badges myself in Adobe Photoshop. I've been proud to be part of the team since 2015, and I always look for ways to bring creativity, positivity, and a little extra care to the people I serve.
